Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Spring must be here because we've suddenly found ourselves at the ballpark. Though I've whined and complained in the past about baseball and how boring it can be, I'm beginning to REALLY love it!. Let me see, it's taken me only about 9 years to enjoy it. I must admit, it gets a LOT more fun when they get older! Zach's playing for the Black Knights again and we just love his team. It's made up mostly of his friends from school. They kind of pack around from sport to sport together and it just happens to be baseball season at the moment.

Another Spring bonus is being able to watch our niece/cousin, Breanne, play softball. She's a senior at Roy High School this year and she ROCKS!!! We're a LITTLE upset that her games are played in Region 1 which is up north a bit, but we were lucky enough to see her play during our Spring Break. We're looking forward to State Playoffs when hopefully they'll play some games in Salt Lake. We're crossing our fingers because we LOVE to come out and support her.

Spring Fling

Spring Break began at exactly 11:15 a.m. on April 2nd for the Buhrleys this year. Did it come in the nick of time? Were we looking forward to it? Were our bags packed and ready to go? Yes, yes, and YES!!! A quick getaway to St. George over Easter weekend was the correct remedy for our family of anxious, pale, sun-seeking members. We supported Zach in a baseball tournament (which was fun until we got spanked by a team from Idaho Falls), lounged around, shopped a little, and enjoyed our time away from home. What is it that makes being away from your house so dang enjoyable? The most fun we had, however, came on our drive back home. Our friends, the Karras', were in St. George for the week also, and invited us to stop by their home for a get-together. Ali, another friend, was there as well with her gorgeous children. It was so much fun to see them again. We got to visit, eat, and play in their traditional Easter Game Extravaganza.....football, soccer, kite flying etc. The kids LOVED that! And Kristin and I LOVED that neither Brook nor Nate had to visit the emergency room.

Holy Lameness!

WARNING: A NEW POST HAS BEEN PUBLISHED BY THE BUHRLEYS (I sincerely hope that none of you blog buddies are experiencing shortness of breath, chest pain, or extreme lightheadedness right now. I apologize for any alarm or shock this blog post may bring you).

Yes, yes, it's true: it's been quite a while since I posted last. Lack of time, coupled with owning the slowest computer on the living planet, has made blogging almost impossible. I'm hoping the money tree blooms this spring so that a new computer finds its way to our house!
Since last I posted, not much has happened in our family. We've had a couple birthdays, our children have grown a couple inches, and we're still alive. "Still alive" is always good in our home! Caitlyn is now Sweet Sixteen and never been kissed (I refuse to believe otherwise), Zach is fourteen and getting restless for summer, and Brynn is, well, Brynn (there's something in her world to be excited about daily). We hope all is well with you all!!!!
