For the past two Saturdays I've found myself at the U of U in a class to update my Utah teaching license. I'll be taking some additional classes in the near future, but it was fun to start with this one. The class was called Digital Photography in the Classroom and basically taught us different ways to use digital photography for our curriculum. Our final little project required that we use a software called PhotoStory to compile a lesson. I demonstrated an example of an "I am From" poem. The poems use descriptions, foods, names, places, etc. to describe where a person is from. I had written this poem five years ago about my family when we were living in Pleasant View and I just put images to it. I don't even know if this will work, but I tried posting it anyway. I'm hoping the sound works. Warning: It really isn't ALL THAT. It was basically assigned to us so that the instructor could walk us through the program and let us monkey around with it.

Ok so I totally LOVED your "We Are From" project. You are so creative! It was so well done, Gretch. Go you! You better have gotten an "A" on that one! That is so cool you are updating your teaching certificate. I was excited to get your idea for the "family book" through that website. I have been working on mine and actually can't wait to get it ordered. How many pages did your first one have? How long is too long? Also, what do you do with the "slide shows" on your blog? Do you download the pix in the slide shows as just photos? Any advice would be great!
I can't even blame getting all "teary eyed" on being pregnant!(i'm NOT!) What a wonderful keepsake, I just loved it.
What age do you want to teach?
Hey There! Good to "see" you all! I saw on your blog that you made a blog book, so I've been working I went to the link and started mine! It's a bear~I saw on yours that you have pages with photos only. I can't figure out how to do that! Every page I get has text boxes on it! Any hints! suzy.gillies@gmail.com
so fun to see you all
