Oh, how I wish Halloween would have been scarier and more frightening. The scariest part at our house happened when Caitlyn and Zach left for their friends' homes at 3 in the afternoon! Halloween with teenagers is a MAJOR BUMMER!!!! Brynn wouldn't even let us take her trick-or-treating. Being the self-motivated busybody she is, she managed to attach herself to some neighbors and went trick-or-treating with THEM instead. "Mom," she asked, "can I go with the Jacksons?"
"I guess........." I started.
And before I could even finish my sentence she hightailed it out of our house and wasn't seen until 2 hours later when things were winding down. Halloween basically consisted of Brook and Sophie (the dog) handing out treats between watching a football game, and me typing on the computer and getting ideas for future lesson plans.
B.O.R.I.N.G!
I heretofore call DIBS on Halloween next year. Do you hear that Caitlyn and Zach? We've got 363 days and counting.....

Well don't forget that Julie and I provided some excitement when we came to your door...unfortunately Brady had to suffer as a result, but don't worry his head is tough! :)
I freakin' lOVE your costume!!! You look great! Does Brook dress up with you or are you on your own every Halloween like me! Go you! Way to be festive!
K but lets just say that you looked FABULOUS as Cruella!!!!!! And yes, the excitement of Brady falling is for sure note worthy! Poor guy! I wish he wasn't so afraid of dogs though!
You looked way to cute to be at a computer! LOVE your costume!! Tell Brook to go trick-or-treating with you next year!:)
Your costume was amazing. What a fun mom to dress up like that. Your kids looked great too!
Gretchen! I have no idea why my comment posted under "awesome"!?!
I mean I know I"m awesome but....
WEIRD! Just in case-this is Jolyn!:)
Darling Costume Gretchen!!!! Your HOT!!! I can't believe how big the kids are getting. I sure miss you guys.
You're costume was GREAT...although Cruella is the antithesis of your personality! But isn't that the fun of Halloween? And ya know what? You need to tell that little Bryn to hold her horses and STOP growing up! Our kids are what makes Halloween fun for US! Don't worry though...the GRANDKIDS will be here SOMEDAY and they keep us going for Halloween. Love the post, Gretchen.
