Summertime, summertime, summertime. Don't we all love it? We have had a great summer break so far. Brynn had her cousin, Hailey, at our house for a few days recently. All I can say is, Thank Heaven for Little Girls. They are so much fun! They kept themselves pretty much busy every minute of every day. They are so creative and spontaneous and it was nice to have so much laughter in the house. It reminded me of being young and killing the time by using our imaginations and inventing fun things to do. Brynn and Hailey didn't waste any time. They built a bird sanctuary behind the house and dug for HOURS to get it ready. They made signs and watched for magpies which might kill the baby birds. They used the kitchen as a constant art studio and made checker sets, boxes, necklaces, painted clay pieces, etc. They went and saw "UP" in 3-D and enjoyed it. They even made invites to a fashion show (which they were never able to fit in) and just had a great, carefree time. I'm so glad that they're such good friends.

If only more kids nowdays could be like these creative little girls! Who needs tv and video games when you have imaginations like these? I absolutely love it! (And it makes me miss having little kids at home. :(
Wow, this is the kind of friend you love to have!! I love summer days that are filled with creativity. I am so impressed with their imaginations...and energy! What darling girls.
How fun! You are such a fun Mom to have all those cute girly projects for them to do! I'm jealous of all the pink! Looks like you had a blast!
